I believe in working in the present, and delving into the past only as it pertains to healing the present.  If children or adolescents are the client, I strongly believe in including the famiy in therapy as well, and have been very successful in family therapy.  My strong suit is finding and reminding my clients of their inherent strengths so that they are able to maximize these to help them achieve their goals.  I do NOT believe in pathologizing clients with their diagnosis, instead I assist them in managing thier symptoms, while heightening their strengths.
